Articleship Procedure Under CA New Course.
To access the system, users must visit the following URL: https://eservices.icai.org/ User credentials, including the User ID and password, will be provided to users through email and SMS separately. Users should use these credentials to log in.
- Input your User ID into the designated User ID field.
- Enter your password into the Password field.
- Select the Login button. This action will lead to the appearance of the following screen.
Here are the steps for registering your Articleship
- Begin by clicking on the "Articleship Menu" button.
- Next, go to the "Articleship" tab.
- You will see icons for the articleship deed form and auditship deed form.
- Click on the icon for the Articleship Deed Form to start filling out the deed.
- Choose the date when your articleship will commence.
- Enter the Membership Number of the Member or Paid Assistant who will be supervising your articleship, and then click the "Get Details" button.
- Select the firm where you will be conducting your articleship.
- Choose the date when the deed is being executed.
- Click the "Submit" button to proceed.
- Download the deed in PDF format.
- Execute the deed on a stamp paper and have a scanned copy ready.
- If needed, click on the "click here" link to edit the application and complete the registration form.
- To ensure the accuracy of your personal information, please review the details displayed on the screen. If any changes are necessary, utilize the Profile Change Form to update the required information.
- Enter the mandatory details and click the "Next" button.
- Check the Qualification Details shown on the screen and make any necessary modifications using the Profile Change Form if needed.
- Click the "Next" button.
- Examine the CA Course Details displayed on the screen. If any adjustments are necessary, utilize the Profile Change Form to make the required changes.
- Click the "Next" button.
- Review any previous Articleship Details displayed on the screen and click "Next."
- Choose "Yes" or "No" in response to whether the articled assistant/audit clerk is actively engaged in any other business or occupation during the articleship period and whether they have undertaken any other academic or professional courses.
- If "Yes" is selected, you must complete Form 112 using the Other Forms tab before final submission of the Registration Form.
- Click "Next."
- Review the Member Details presented on the screen.
- Click "I Agree" and then select "Submit."
- Now, the member needs to log in, review the details, and authorize the registration form. The member can access the information through the "Forms for Approval" tab.
- Once the member has approved it, students must download the PDF, have it signed by the member, and then upload the scanned copy of the PDF to complete the registration process.
- To upload the signed PDFs, students should log in again, locate the registration form in the "Submitted Applications" section, proceed through all the screens, and upload the signed and scanned copies of the Deed (Form 102) and Registration (Form 103) PDFs on the final screen.
- Afterward, click on "Submit" and make the necessary fee payment, if applicable.
Articleship Termination/Completion
After the regional office approves the registration request, the student becomes officially registered for articleship under the designated member. At this point, the student gains access to forms related to articleship termination and articleship completion. Additionally, they can view other relevant forms such as permission to pursue other courses or engage in other business activities, secondment requests, requisition forms, and notifications of changes in the principals status (this last form is only visible if the student is registered under a paid assistant).
The member, on the other hand, has continuous access to view and complete various forms including Articleship Termination, Articleship Completion, Auditship Termination, Auditship Completion, and Industrial Training Completion/Termination for students registered under their supervision.
Who can apply for CA Articleship ?
To be eligible for a CA articleship under the CA new scheme 2023, students must pass both groups of the CA Intermediate level as well as complete ICITSS training.
The ICAI has recommended significant modifications to CA Articleship training that will benefit studentsThis adjustment will greatly benefit students because they will be able to seek CA articleships without having to divert their attention from remaining and future attempts.
CA Articleship Timeline
Articleship entails a mandatory duration of 2 years working under the guidance of a practising Chartered Accountant (CA). Following the completion of the Articleship, there is an optional Industrial Training period, which typically spans 9 to 12 months.
In the CA new plan, the ICAI will lower the duration of the CA articleship from three to two years. This adjustment will assist students by allowing them to become chartered accountants sooner than previously. Furthermore, after completing 6 months of practical training, students can register for the CA final examination.
Criteria for CA Articleship Stipend
With the adoption of the new course, ICAI raises the article stipend to 100%.
CA Aticleship Resigns
Students are no longer required to take any tests throughout their CA articleship. As a result, ICAI limits the number of leaves in the new course. Students can now only take 12 leaves per year and 24 leaves to complete their training.
