meaning of Independent director

Indepent director means director other than MD/WTD/ND, Who : (a) Has/had no pencuniary relationship other than remuneration as a director or. (b) has/had no pencuniary transaction exceeding 10% of his total income or such amount as may be prescribed. with the CASH/PROMOTERS/DIRECTORS during immediatly preceeding 2 financial years or current FY.
